Ty and Seth are less than two months apart. They both have huge feet, feisty tempers, wild imaginations, and are just plain darling. But they also share a knack for mischief. Anytime the house was too quiet, everyone would get nervous and begin searching for these two!
Sarah and I finally started making a list of the trouble they caused.
They opened a new box of band-aids, opened all of them and put them on their bodies, only to leave the wrappers on the floor and disregard the now-used bandages. Awesome!
They, along with the other kids, we paid one penny for every snail that they got. Robbie left with over $5. They would then put the snails in bags and drown them in water (see Mary below). The gross part, though, is that they would sometimes forget to throw that bag in the trash, so dead, oozing snail bags lay over the sidewalk baking--so disgusting!
And then there's the fountain! We couldn't get them to leave it alone. They threw toys in it, dumped ALL of their chalk in it, and made it into their personal spa. I caught Ty in it after church and after making him get out, found him making "water angles" on the sidewalk.
This is them hanging out in the deep end.
The Harps brought them a ton of water balloons. Well, Ty and Seth figured out how to fill them up using the Silly Sprinkler that my parents got them. Well, that was to much work, so they decided to dump the balloons in the pool and pretend they were fish to catch.
My parents have a treat station and it was filled with fruit snacks this time, well, until these boys decided to help themselves whenever they could. I found wrappers everywhere--yes, even in the bathroom.
We found them in the garage with a tub of ice cream, scooping it out with their hands and eating it. Aricka was brave enough to clean out dirt and grass and eat from the same container.
They got into the shed full of fertilizer. Grandpa had some that happened to be orange, so they thought it was cheese and spread it EVERYWHERE, thinking they were being so generous to the world.
They love the dogs. One day I found them lying in the kennel with Ella, having dumped probably two pounds of dog food on the floor and in her kennel. They figured nothing could be better than sleeping with friends while eating.
Back out to the freezer in the garage, they took some marshmallows and went to town. When they were caught with the bag and full cheeks, they explained that they were eating them to make their teeth whiter.
My parents have an infinity pool, so the overflow is hard to see. Well, even though the pool guy cleaned the pool in the morning and grandpa shocked the pool, the water was still green and cloudy! We finally figured out why when we caught Ty dumping sand into the overflow. When we looked below, the entire overflow was filled with dirt!
Yes, they get in trouble a lot--but they sure make life fun! They can find adventure anywhere they go--what a gift!
