Toy Room
So the major selling point of this house was the blue basement. Yes, we wanted to change it into the ultimate Boy Toy Room. They have a closet full of balls. Another closet is full of swords, bows and arrows, water guns . . . . The only problem: the kids won't play in it! They bring everything upstairs or want to watch movies--my plans are totally backfiring. Rob keeps rearranging it to make the toys more accessible and appealing and that usually works for a few days. Today was another reorganization day and . . . they are actually downstairs. We'll see how long it lasts!

That is a sweet room!
We just make a rule that certain toys have to stay in the basement (which is most of them) and they pretty much stay down there.
What an amazing room! Maybe you need to get a small tv and DVD player down there so they stay put. I always dreamed of a room like that I could organize and decorate. Lucky.
We have a toy room upstairs and all the toys end up downstairs. Drives me crazy! If they don't pick them up and take them back upstairs, I "throw them away" in a plastic garbage bag and they have to clean up, eat all their dinner, nap, etc. to get them back. Of course we've got so many toys so sometimes they don't even care if they get chucked in the garbage bag. So if that's the case, they go to goodwill! Haha.
That looks awesome! My boys would have a hay day tearing it apart. I totally know what you mean though, because we have so many toys and the boys take the upstairs ones downstairs, and the ones that go in the living room they throw on the stairs, etc.
I love the room. I'm so jealous that we don't have one. :) Toys are hidden just about everywhere in our house. One day though...it will be different. Enjoy!
