The Shirt

It's a little bit of a joke in the family that Rob thinks he's some kind of a mountain man. He tries to hunt, buys camo, wears flannel, talks about owning a farm someday--it's really all hilarious to me (though Rob is totally serious). Well, when Robbie was born, I bought this flannel shirt for him as a joke (so Rob could have his own little outdoorsy son). Well, Rob loved the shirt (surprise, surprise). Now it is Ty's turn to wear the gettup (by the way, Rob dressed Ty in it for church the other week--sheesh!). Anyway, I wanted to post the pictures of both boys so you could see how they are alike and different at the same age.

Sunny Day!

It has been cold and gloomy for so long. To top it all off, Robbie had pneumonia and Ty had bronchiolitis last week--breathing treatments every 3 hours for both them (yes, even at night). Well, the other day, the sun was shining, everyone was getting better--it was just a great day. Robbie got out and rode his little trike (he's really too big for it now, and constantly talks about his big bike in Utah at Gramdma's house--he's pretty excited to pick it up this summer), and Ty got to enjoy the sun on his little head--it was wonderful (and just in time...snow comes again on Saturday!).

Bye Bye Locks

The new do! Now Robbie and Daddy are twins!

It was time. We love Robbie's crazy blonde curls, but when it got wet, it was down to his shoulders. The other day I found gum in his hair--it needed to go. I wanted to just trim it, but Rob insisted that we go "all the way." It took a few days for us to get used to it--he looks like a completely different little man, but it's kind of fun for a change. Robbie was excited because he put his hair outside for the birdies--he thinks it will make their bed soft. So sweet!

First Swim

Ty's first time in the swimming pool

One of the coolest things about ATSU this year is that we get free membership to the local Aquatic Center. We finally decided it was time to take Ty for swim--not quite sure how he'd like it. Well, he LOVED it! It was so cute. He was splashing and laughing and kicking the whole time. Looks like we have another fish on our hands. Robbie still loves the pool, too, but is starting to realize that it can be dangerous. We are getting a little more daring with him--letting him go for a few seconds to see how he handles it; he's not a big fan, though, and begs for the noodles now. Oh well.
