Friend Party

I periodically have "friend parties" for the boys; they each pick 1-2 friends to come over to play, watch movies, eat junk...just whatever. This time, they decided to play Capture the Flag and Kickball. I just LOVED watching them huddle up and "game plan" or try to draw the baseball diamond with chalk on the street. So darling!

Hanson Sports

We have some friends that own a stadium chair company. Well, they've been doing all these great promo videos, and thought it would be cute to do a "backyard" version. Well, of course, our little troop of boys was invited to the video shoot.

But, they simply couldn't do a football video without a run-through--so I got my old cheerleader skills out, and started painting!

There was a drone camera, three other cameras and sound mufflers--it was seriously fun!

Doesn't that seem like a late crop? Either way, the boys were pretty stoked when I told them to just go ahead and pick the garden clean!

Apple Picking

We couldn't have picked a crazier day to do this! We drove out to Weston to pick apples, only to discover that they were having their annual Apple Fall Festival or whatever...cars, traffic, people EVERYWHERE! We stopped here, at the famous Red Barn Farm--fresh donuts, pumpkins, rides etc.--but way too many people.

So we drove in the other direction to a cute little place called Alldredge Farm. Very small, Mom 'n' Pop place and had a blast.  We bought their hot cinnamon apple syrup and tasted their famed curry squash soup. It was a great day!

Pictures of Boys

I love good friends! So far I have had friends take family pictures for us every year! So awesome! My friend Mischa has a great camera; we made a swap: I took her family pictures one week--she did mine the next. Totally unprofessional and unedited, but pictures they are!!! Here's a few of the boys... more to come!

 While everyone else was going on the slide, I took our little group over to this corn pit! So fun! (Until the bus came and one little girl lost her shoe in it! Yikes!) They raced, and jumped, and "swam."
