Who needs a dog to walk, when you can leash-up your bunny!
Feeding the baby goats at Deana Rose Farm
Ty spent most of this time feeding them on the other side of the fence--he hated how aggressive the little guys got! :)
This was at a birthday party--you get launched and bungied around 40 feet in the air. Ty loved it. Robbie . . . not so much! :)
It's just how he is--a total fashion guru! Or should I say . . . he has his own sense of style--obviously! He fights with me every morning. He can't wear anything "handsome" only "cool." He tucks everything in (like ABOVE his bellybutton), usually wears all the same color with knee-high socks and shorts (regardless of weather). He tells me that pants slow him down, and loves tight clothing that shows his muscles.
Ty ditched a little school to go hunting with Dad. It was far below freezing, and still they sat for over 10 hours. They got nothing. Went back the next day. Nothing. BUT . . . Robbie loved it!!!
 .
BYU came to KC for the CBE Tournament.  It was awesome! We sat by a cute little missionary couple from Utah, who snuck Jimmy treats the whole game, and everywhere we looked there were people from our ward or families with kids decked out in BYU gear!

Just another day at the Haas home--indoor drills.
I have to say, I am a super-soccer mom! Yes, I dressed the whole family in matching team spirit gear for Ty's first game. My friend sent this picture to me . . . she thought it was hilarious that we're so die-hard. :)
The worst part about practice--Jimmy and Jace always find mischief. Doesn't really matter the season or the field . . . they'll make a mess!

Random

Robbie brought this home at the beginning of the year. It was then that I realized that he was definitely in the advanced reading group. I mean, he got this straight out of kindergarten! Rob and I were both baffled. I still remember counting ahead to see what paragraph I had to read aloud. And Rob, well, the only memories he has of reading group was being with the boy who drooled and the kid that still pooped his pants--not exactly at genius levels here! So glad our son takes after someone else!

Here's one of his spelling tests from the beginning of the year. I think he has the cutest writing! (And, might I add, I am the pathetic parent that doesn't go over the words with him! And, he still always gets them right! The sentences are bonus--hence the BIG words like friends. :)  Teaching Robbie is like a dream. You tell him something once and it's etched in his mind forever! )
These boys are crazy sleepers. Even now that it's cold, the older boys only sleep in their undies.
I totally had another health freak out! My PVCs were going crazy again. I'd already gotten and Echocardiogram the year before, but I simply can't have peace of mind, apparently. Rob gave up reassuring me, so I made another appointment with the cardiologist (a new one--mine left . . . surely  another sign that I MUST have something--he probably left for malpractice! :)) They had me wear a 24-hour heart monitor. The Results: Yes, I'm having PVCs and PACs. I even have a little tachycardia.  But, average heart beat was 70 bpm. No a-fib. All irregularities non-sustained. Bottom line: I'm totally normal. Some people just feel them more. Stress, chocolate, bad sleep . . . it'll trigger them.

Somehow I think I'm always alone, though. I took Robbie in for his 7-year and told his doctor about my heart (we're friends), and he said he was hospitalized for them a few years back--was having 30 per minute. Like me, all was fine--he just lives with them. Then I went to Iowa for Thanksgiving and my grandparents were there. My grandma told me her mom had them (and lived to be like 97), and my grandma had them (even wore the heart monitor like me) . . . again, she's fine. Then my grandpa, who has a pacemaker, told me he gets 3000 per day! Thank you Harps! :) My grandparents gave me other pointers too: eat protein and avoid sugar, GET YOUR MIND OFF IT! So, apparently I'll live!

Jimmy loves animals. We dumped a bunch of animals out on the table, when we came back, he had arranged them all by species or group--I was shocked! What a smart little guy!

Hats!!!
