Zoo Trip

Haas family outside the gorilla exhibit

Rob pushing the kids through the penguin exhibit
Spring Break was fabulous! We thought we would start our vacation out right by going to the zoo (as is tradition each break, it seems). The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast. Robbie got to ride the train and carousel and Ty got his first real taste of candy (he stole Robbie's candy cane you see in the above picture and went to town). We're going to miss the St. Louis Zoo!

Tagged

The rules of this "tag" are to post the fourth picture in the fourth photo folder on your computer. Then tag four friends. This is a picture of Robbie doing... I really don't know... in my hospital bed in Columbia. Still, it looks like he's having fun doing it!
Who's next? I tag...Nashelle, Kara, K (you know who you are), and Laura. I'm excited to see!

Happy Boys Move

Happy Ty cheering himself on after crawling across the room!

This was the clearest picture I could get of him on hands and knees. I've got it on film, but was too lazy to upload! :)

He'd had it. Ty was sick of being trapped in the excersaucer while Robbie took all his toys, or waiting for Mommy and Daddy to bring him more toys. He had to move. He started showing signs about two weeks ago that he was interested in crawling, and this week, he took off. Already he is so much happier--FREEDOM! I've already forgotten how much more careful I have to be. He climbed one of the stairs yesterday; he eats everything he can crawl to; he follows me everywhere (even on the dirty, wet, kitchen floor). Oh well. Robbie loves it, too. He gets on his hands and knees and crawls with Ty...they both giggle. We are so excited for them both!

Ty's Who Do

Ty's hair has started to change over the last few weeks. It is continuing to lighten (I think he's going to be a definite blonde) but also curl (no huge surprise here, either...Rob and I both had blonde curls). His is not so much a head of curls as curl, though--and right smack in the middle of his head. It's hilarious! Rob says that he looks just like a Who, but I think it is just adorable. It's like a conservative mohawk.

Good Mom

Poor little Robbie has cabin fever; he's been in the house most of the winter either because it is freezing or he is sick. Well, the other day he had had enough. It was raining, well pouring actually, and Robbie begged to go outside. Like any good mother, I gave him an umbrella and boots and sent him on his way (while I stayed in the house). I took this picture when the rain started to pelt and I heard thunder in the distance. He had a great time, though!
