Jimmy Time!

Though the big boys are so busy with school and sports, Jimmy is getting a little special time too! Not only does he get three days a week alone with Mommy, but he also started playgroup this year!
The first month has been at our house. He's with Aubrey, Troy, and Cooper, and thinks he is SUPER cool!

This is them playing tigers and hiding from bad guys at the same time! So darling!
It took him 6 months of sobbing hysterically in nursery to get him where he is now. BUT, now he LOVES it! His nursery leader told me quietly on Sunday that he is her favorite!
Sometimes I make him a special lunch at home too; it makes him feel like a big boy to have a "real" lunch in a lunchbox! :)
The boys put their money birthday/Christmas money together to by a tablet. Jimmy is a machine on that thing! It's hilarious to watch!

Fall Sports!

'Tis the season! For BYU's season opener, we all went to our dear friends, the Russells, for a party! It was so fun to see we weren't the only die-hard family. Every man, woman, and child were decked out in their BYU gear; it was hilarious!

I think we all know that Ty has a very distinct style. Well, after getting dressed, he decided to surprise Rob by setting out a dynamite outfit for him too--they could be twinners! So cute!

Rob is coaching Ty's team, the Speeders (Ty named them!) and assisting Robbie's competitive team, Blue Lightning. Ty scored 3 goals his first game and 2 the second. Robbie scored 3 on his first game, and 2 on his next two games. The whole getting ice cream for scoring is getting expensive since neither has NOT scored for a long time! They're just amazing!

Summer

It's been a delicious summer! We only planted onions, but our peach tree that we planted just last year produced the mother-load of AMAZING fruit! Our friends and neighbors kept us on constant supply of basil, tomatoes, and cucumbers! It was fantastic!

We brought home Zoom from Utah (Rob's parents got him last year as a baby and the kids named him since he was so fast!), so we now have a pet bunny!

Ty became a master swimmer! He started the season being afraid to put his face under; by the end of the summer, he was diving for torpedoes in the deep end and he swam across the entire pool! Go Ty!

When I grow up . . .

Robbie: "I changed my mind. When I grow up, I want to be an ice cream tester. You know, I taste all the flavors and decide if it's too sweet or needs something."

Ty: "Well I want be one of those guys who jumps out of airplanes with a parachute!"

Jimmy, what do you want to be when you grow up?

Jimmy: "Um. I tiger."

Robbie's Party!

Yay! Today was crazy fun! Jimmy went to his first birthday party (I can't even believe my baby is getting invitations to parties!!!) Then we headed to Robbie's first soccer game of the season, (he did amazing! Scored 3 out of the 4 goals!) only to get back just in time for Robbie's birthday party!  It was totally low-key: cupcakes, ice cream and presents at our house; swimming at the pool. Perfect. No clean-up. Cheap. Fun. And . . . the kids had a blast!

Rob got a little creative with his throw-ins.
(This was the last day that Ty and Dillon would get to play together. They've been best friends for two years, and he's moving tomorrow! :()

The all-star line-up . . .
And . . . the show!

First Days . . .

School has begun!!! Robbie is loving first grade with Mr. Andreasen! We love walking to and from school everyday; he's in class with his best friend, Roman, and is doing fabulous! Rob has been doing foot and ankle the last few months, so he's been able to walk him to and/or from school almost everyday! We have pictures of his first day, but their on Rob's phone and totally blurry! Until I find a good one . . .

Here's Ty on his first day of preschool! He goes to Kids Connection at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. It is an amazing program--just kids who are 5 just on the border to making the kindergarten deadline. His teachers are Peggy and Beth--both fabulous! (And yes, he picked his outfit.)

Jimmy started playgroup for two hours once per week. So far, it's just been at our house, but he's loving having "fens" (friends).
