Girl Drama

Poor Robbie is clueless. The girls at school are completely obsessed! Not a day goes by that I don't find a love note or picture a girl gives to him. He's had presents that just randomly appear in his backpack from them. He's been kissed on the cheek twice on the playground (no worries--my good little boy told the teacher on them!) Well one day while walking home Robbie and Roman (his best friend/neighbor) starting telling me how mean the girls had been to them. "They were calling us names whispering stuff. We didn't even do anything!" That night, a girl named Lydia called Robbie. Seriously!? He's in Kindergarten! I only let her talk to him because I thought she might apologize. No. I found out the next day (from my friend Casey, Roman's mom, who ate lunch with the kids) that Lydia just "missed him" when he's not around! Unreal!  I've been keeping it all very low-key for Robbie's sake. He's still so sweet. After I explained that the girls were just trying to get his attention, he said, "Why didn't they just say my name?"  Good question, Robbie.

80!

My Grandpa Harp turned 80 in February! Rob was gone all weekend doing Advance Trauma Life Support (ATSL) certification and the kiddos were sick, but I was there in spirit! I put together a video of pictures from us grandkids--all pictures from our personal collections with him--and I cried when I watched it through! Still, Grandpa was kind enough to send me pictures of the big day (he had quite a party! Catered by Wood Ranch and all his friends and family (minus me, Jaron, and Daniel)). I've always thought of Grandpa as being strong, funny, handsome, and smart! Love you, Grandpa! Happy 80th!
Here's the invitation. Isn't he gorgeous!!!

Nothing Can Hold Them Back

It's been cold--freezing, actually--but the boys just can't stop! Robbie finished out his basketball season ranging from 10-24 points per game! After one game the head of the city's football league came up to Rob to try and recruit Robbie. So funny. He said, "Wow! Your son is really athletic, just knows how to use his body. You know, he'd be great at football!" Mmmm, we're gonna put that one on hold!

But soccer has begun and baseball is just around the corner. It's a year-long season for us . . . going, going, going. But, I'm the mom of three very active and competitive boys; I love it! So, rain or shine, this is what our days look like:
