In His Element

He beams this time of year. Always has. It's in the air--something crisp and spicy. It's football and pumpkin cookies--Rob just can't get enough.
This is him going to his friend Dave's house--ready for the season opener. (How cute are my brownies!) He watches every game there in Dave's theater room with all his buddies. (Yes, even if he comes home at 1a.m. and has to wake up at 4:30 to go into work. He's a die-hard! Who needs sleep when BYU is playing!?)
He loves working in the yard. We went in with a neighbor to rent this aerator--hopefully the lawn will be gorgeous next year! He waters all his trees and shrubs and lawn each night. He's my little farmer boy.
And finally--he started throwing again. It seems like ages since he was last at it, but after buying the net (pictured below) at a garage sale for only $10--Rob spent the rest of his Saturday playing with it. He dropped back and ran routes--he's still remarkably accurate. I just sat up on the deck and watched him. :)

He was like a kid again. He always wanted one of these nets and never got one--so this was his chance to play!
