Master Immitator

Jimmy copies everything we do; we have to be quite careful these days. Oh yes, he's even started the yelling and hitting--so happy about that one. But the darling part is how he always wants to play with the big boys. He thinks he can take them on when they are playing sports in the house (yes, they do play in the house) or when they have their action figures out. He wants to dress up like them, too. I love this picture. Robbie is clearly Spiderman--matching, in character. Ty . . . he's a football player superhero with just a taste of pirate. So Ty!

Jimmy couldn't be left out of their adventures, so he had to play along, too.

He is 16 months now and says: Mama
Dada
Ty (Ta)
out
up
dog
that (dat)
this (dis)
teeth (teece)
nigh-night
bath (bass)
eew!
dirty
mmmm
juice
cheese
hot
bug
hat
ball
ouch
water (ba ba--no clue, but it's consistent)
fish
uh-oh
Grandpa (pampa--he says this whenever he thinks I'm on the phone with my dad)
ice
duck
diaper
outside (side)
And the boys new favorite: Poo poo. They taught it to him. Nice. There are, of course, other words or sayings that he "says" but it isn't always consistent.
He signs:
Ball
fish
bye bye
dog
more
eat/food
shoes
water
dirty
He also points, nods, shakes his head, laughs and cries--a great communicator!
